Tax Authorities' Letters: Bloggers Paid Over 1 Billion Tenge

In total, tax authorities sent notifications to 854 bloggers, highlighting discrepancies in their reported incomes amounting to 71.9 billion tenge. However, these figures represent not unpaid taxes, but rather estimated incomes that were not declared.

The essence of desk audits is to provide taxpayers with the opportunity to either voluntarily declare their incomes and pay taxes or explain why the data does not match.

From February 13 to 14, 594 digital content creators received such notifications, as tax officials believe they may have concealed 53.3 billion tenge in income. However, on February 19, the committee retracted 169 notifications due to technical failures during their sending and processing.
