The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, introduced the new head of the Ministry of Industry and Construction.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Kanat Sharlapaev for his contributions to the development of various sectors, particularly the manufacturing industry.
"A comprehensive effort has been made to expand support measures for domestic producers and improve legislation. Over the past year, the volume of the manufacturing industry has increased by 5.9%, marking the most dynamic growth in the last 10 years," stated the government release.
During the introduction of the new minister, Ersaiyn Nagaspaev, the head of the government outlined the tasks set by the head of state to consolidate the achieved results and ensure further growth of the manufacturing industry.
It was also noted that the new minister has been assigned several tasks to enhance the production of high value-added goods to ensure import substitution and expand exports. The focus is on close collaboration with investors and businesses.
Tasks have been defined for the ministry's team to fulfill the president's directives regarding the development of the construction sector and the modernization of housing and communal infrastructure.
As a reminder, this morning, the former Minister of Industry, Kanat Sharlapaev, became an assistant to the President. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state. Sharlapaev had previously held the position of Minister of Industry since September 2023.
Today, Ersaiyn Nagaspaev has been appointed as the new minister. The decree was signed by the head of state.
