He explained that new financing tools for modernization will be introduced.
“Financing will come from the long-term resources of development institutions and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. This will allow for better management of the tariff increase processes, making them smoother. At the same time, issues related to social support for those segments of the population in need of assistance will be addressed,” noted Baibazarov.
When asked by journalists about the phased tariff increases until 2029, he was unable to clarify how this would take place.
“It’s difficult to say what the gradation will be right now. Everything will depend on the volume of investments and how we finance these investments. The growth of tariffs will be gradual, but at the same time, social protection will be strengthened,” he concluded.
