"Address the issues": Bektenov voiced his dissatisfaction with the road conditions in the West Kazakhstan region.

Today, the government discussed plans to expand the road network in Kazakhstan. Reports were presented by the Minister of Transport as well as the akims of several regions.

As a result of the speech by the akim of ZKO, the head of the cabinet made a remark to Nariman Turegaliev.

"The share of good roads should increase each year. However, in your case, it is decreasing. It is essential not only to highlight problems at the national level but also to address them. This requires a corresponding amount of funding from the local budget. Resolve all issues," said Bektenov.

Recall that last summer, Bektenov also expressed his frustration with the quality of roads in the regions. He stated that Kazakh citizens frequently complain about the condition of the roads, and the akimats need to respond promptly.

During a cabinet meeting at that time, the Prime Minister said that the National Center of the Ministry of Transport needs to "build muscle" so that Kazakhstan does not spend billions on poor roads.

Additionally, Nariman Turegaliev has held the position of akim of the West Kazakhstan region since December 2022. Prior to that, he was a senator.
