Schools in Petropavlovsk have started utilizing AI to enhance student safety.

It has been reported that the system autonomously monitors the restless behavior of students.

The camera equipped with video analysis capabilities detects signs of aggression within eight seconds and immediately sends a notification to the school principal via a Telegram bot.

The North Kazakhstan region has become the first to implement this project.

This initiative took place in the North Kazakhstan region for a reason, as approximately 50 cases of juvenile offenses were recorded in the area last year.

The system was tested at secondary school No. 25 in Petropavlovsk, where it identified two instances of conflict behavior over a few months.

Currently, the artificial intelligence system is also present in four other schools and one kindergarten.

According to the education department, plans are in place to install "smart" cameras in an additional 35 educational institutions, which will require around 70 million tenge.

At present, surveillance systems are already operational in over 300 schools across the region.
