During a cabinet meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Svetlana Jakupova discussed plans to enhance accountability for businesses regarding violations in safety and labor protection, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.

“There will also be increased requirements for the training and assessment of the knowledge of individuals responsible for safety and labor protection. There are plans to strengthen administrative responsibility by replacing ‘warning’ with ‘administrative fine.’ The amount of fines will be doubled,” said Svetlana Zhakupova.

She also noted that to protect workers' rights and reduce the risks of workplace injuries, digital monitoring will be conducted. As part of this, companies will be assigned a risk degree class based on an integral assessment of professional risks.
