The tragedy occurred on September 2 of last year. On that day, in the village of Kopa, 10th-grade students, following the instructions of older students, assaulted 9th graders "for educational purposes." One of the victims, 16-year-old Sydyk N., sustained severe injuries and passed away.
As a result of the investigation, six minors were detained. One of them will face trial on charges of causing grievous bodily harm resulting in death by negligence. The others are being charged with hooliganism and organizing a crime.
The prosecution in court will be represented by a procedural prosecutor who monitored the investigation to ensure it was objective and comprehensive.
