According to him, half of the households in the country lack access to fixed internet, and a significant portion of those connected are using outdated technologies such as ADSL and XDSL. The solution to this issue has been the development of FWA based on 5G, which allows for high-speed internet without the need for wired lines.
The operator is actively developing this segment, offering customers flexible equipment acquisition options, including subsidies for routers and the ability to rent for just 1 tenge.
“We see that users of 5G routers demonstrate a higher level of satisfaction with the service compared to LTE. This confirms the promise of the technology and its importance for the country's digitalization,” noted Babichev.
Currently, 5G coverage is already available in 20 major regions of Kazakhstan, and the operator will continue to expand the technology's availability.
