The head of state sent a telegram of condolence to the family of the renowned Kazakh writer Mukhtar Magauin.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the outstanding writer, recipient of the State Prize Mukhtar Magauin, following his passing.
"Mukhtar Mukhanuly was an exceptional master of words, who made a significant contribution to the expansion of Kazakh literature and history. He tirelessly worked for the enrichment of our spiritual existence and the deepening of understanding of our people's past. His artistic works, historical studies, essays, and memoirs resonated deeply with readers. The vivid image of Mukhtar Mukhanuly, who lived a dignified life and left behind a rich creative legacy, will forever remain in the memory of our people," the telegram states.
Today, January 10, the well-known Kazakh writer Mukhtar Magauin has passed away. His son, Edige Magauin, announced his death on his Facebook page. According to Edige Magauin, Mukhtar Magauin died at 05:55 Astana time in the American state of Maryland, surrounded by his children and loved ones. He was 84 years old.
