As part of the official visit to Mongolia, the President of Kazakhstan visited the National Museum of Genghis Khan in Ulaanbaatar.
The museum, which opened in 2019, houses over 10,000 original exhibits. The central focus of the exhibition is on the figure of the great ruler and conqueror, Genghis Khan. Alongside this, artifacts representing all periods of the formation of Mongolian statehood are showcased, from the Xiongnu era to the 20th century.
One of the primary objectives of the museum is to research and promote the cultural heritage of the nomadic civilizations of Eurasia.
The head of state examined the exhibition and signed the guestbook. “The National Museum of Genghis Khan is a chronicle of the history of an outstanding individual and the state he founded. May this center of spirituality serve the good of the people of Mongolia,” wrote Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
