At the request of the president, the meeting with the local community was conducted by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

The press service of the head of government specified that the head of the Presidential Administration, Aibek Dadebai, was also present at the meeting.

During the assembly, government representatives announced a letter from the president, which listed the candidates for the position of regional leader. Two candidates were considered: the deputy akim of the region, Nuralhan Kusherov, and the akim of the Sozak district, Mukhit Turybekov.

Following an open vote, out of 288 votes, 224 were cast in favor of Kusherov.

As a result of the voting, in accordance with the president's decree, Nuralhan Kusherov was appointed akim of Turkestan region.

During the meeting with the region's active members, Olzhas Bektenov expressed gratitude to Darkhan Satybaldy for his efforts in the region's development and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The Prime Minister outlined the key priorities for the new leadership.

First and foremost, the focus is on economic diversification, transitioning to cluster production, creating jobs, attracting investors to the TURAN SEZ, and developing the agricultural sector.

Other important tasks include improving transport and engineering infrastructure, providing citizens with clean drinking water, and stabilizing prices for essential food products.
