Tokaev met with the new Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, issues regarding the comprehensive deepening of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed.

"I would like to highlight the dynamic nature of the development of Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation. The official visit of the esteemed Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Japarov to Kazakhstan last year gave a new impetus to our bilateral relations. Taking this opportunity, I would like to extend warm wishes to the esteemed Sadyr Nurgozhoevich," said President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"Our president consistently places great importance on deepening friendly, neighborly relations with fraternal Kazakhstan. Thanks to the agreements reached during high-level meetings, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan is being strengthened in political, trade-economic, water-energy, cultural-humanitarian, and other areas," said the head of the Kyrgyz government.

The president emphasized that one of the main tasks of the governments is to monitor the full implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level.

In particular:

️Special attention was given to the implementation of joint investment projects and cooperation in the water-energy sector.

It is worth noting that in December 2024, information emerged that Akylbek Japarov had resigned from the position of head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan. It was reported that he submitted his resignation of his own accord.

Shortly thereafter, President Sadyr Japarov appointed a new head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan - Adylbek Kasymaliev. Previously, he served as the deputy head of the presidential administration and held the position of first deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
