Halyk's top management hosted traditional business breakfasts for clients.

This autumn, the leaders of Halyk Group organized a series of business breakfasts for their clients in eight cities across Kazakhstan. These events served as a platform for sharing experiences, discussing new ideas, and strengthening business connections. The meetings featured participation from Halyk's Chairperson Umut Shayaqmetova, Deputy Chairpersons of the bank Dauren Sartayev, Nariman Mukushev, Ertay Salimov, and top management from the group’s subsidiaries.

During the business meetings, Halyk Group's leaders provided detailed insights into the financial achievements and key performance indicators of the past year, as well as new products. Topics discussed included business security, new credit solutions for SMEs, premium services for individuals, and the successful completion of several major projects. Additionally, top managers shared forecasts on the development of industries and the market as a whole. This information allowed participants to assess the bank's current market position and gain a better understanding of its strategic priorities.

Significant attention was given to new development directions. Group representatives discussed plans for implementing innovative financial products and services aimed at meeting the growing needs of clients.

In her opening speech, Umut Shayaqmetova reminded attendees that Halyk Bank is currently the market leader in terms of assets and the number of clients. As of September 1, 2024, Halyk's total assets exceeded 17 trillion tenge.

The financial institution serves over 11 million active retail clients and more than 300,000 legal entities. Furthermore, the bank holds top positions in international agency rankings, reflecting its reliability and stability: Moody's – Baa1 (Outlook – Stable), S&P Global – BB+ (Outlook – Positive), Fitch Ratings – BBВ- (Outlook – Stable).

“We take pride in what Halyk has achieved so far. Our efforts to expand the range of financial services and strengthen client relationships have allowed us to secure leading positions in the market. We continue to implement innovative solutions and strive to ensure that each of our clients receives only the best service. Our goal is to be a reliable partner that will always support you in achieving your financial objectives,” emphasized the bank's head Umut Shayaqmetova.

The Deputy Chairperson of the bank, Nariman Mukushev, spoke about the successes and metrics of the Halyk app. He highlighted that over the past three years, the number of unique users of the mobile application has doubled, reaching 8 million, while monthly visits exceeded 140 million.

“We are actively developing our digital, financial, and lifestyle ecosystems by implementing relevant services and solutions that make life easier and more comfortable for people. This approach has met expectations: in three years, the number of Halyk app users has more than doubled, achieving 8 million active clients. Our services provide people with the ability to meet all their needs, whether it’s banking products, purchasing goods, or entertainment,” reported Nariman Mukushev.

Speaking to entrepreneurs, Deputy Chairperson Dauren Sartayev noted that the SME lending market has significantly grown over the past years.

“The growth rate of SME lending in the bank exceeds 25% annually, reaching 1.5 trillion tenge. This is largely due to the digitization of necessary services and the fact that it’s easier and more convenient for clients to work in the Onlinebank business application, where individual entrepreneurs and limited liability partnerships can not only obtain a classic loan but also issue digital blank tender guarantees, performance guarantees, invoices, and more. And we are not stopping there. Our plans include launching digital leasing, digital factoring, and much more,” explained Dauren Sartayev.

An important and key topic of discussion at the meeting was cybersecurity. In the context of constantly growing threats in the digital space, Halyk Group places great importance on protecting its clients' data. The business breakfasts showcased the latest solutions and strategies for ensuring the security of financial transactions and personal information.

Participants of the business breakfasts highly appreciated the format of the meetings, particularly noting the opportunity to ask questions to the leadership of the largest financial group in the country, learn about Halyk's new products, meet new partners, and determine the path and tools for further development.

The business breakfasts took place from September to the end of November in Almaty, Kokshetau, Kostanay, Aktobe, Karaganda, Atyrau, Astana, Pavlodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Shymkent.
