By the end of 2024, the Industrial Zone of Almaty (IZA) has launched 10 new projects totaling 25.17 billion tenge. These enterprises have created 1,319 jobs, reports a correspondent from the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Almaty akimat.
Among the projects are five manufacturing enterprises. These include a factory for the production of household chemicals and personal hygiene products; a factory for producing bank cards for international payment systems; a factory for the complete cycle production of reinforced concrete products; a factory for the production of electronic audio and video equipment for vehicles; and a production complex for the manufacture of cable and wire products.
In 2024, five small industrial parks were built in the Industrial Zone of Almaty, covering areas from 3,000 to 5,100 square meters. Private investors have invested over 2.27 billion tenge in their construction, with plans to create 614 jobs.
There are 107 companies participating in the Industrial Zone of Almaty, with projects totaling 556.8 billion tenge, resulting in the creation of 14,496 jobs. From 2016 to 2024, 40 projects with a total investment of 139.1 billion tenge have been implemented in the IZA area, leading to the establishment of 4,403 jobs.
