The plans for modernizing the heat and electricity supply infrastructure for 2025 were discussed by the energy and water supply management of Almaty, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the city’s akimat.

According to the local executive authority, in 2024, 20 kilometers of heating supply networks, over 220 kilometers of electricity supply networks, and 85 boiler houses were modernized, significantly enhancing heating efficiency.

“This year, larger-scale tasks are planned - modernization of 40 km of heating networks and 240 km of electricity networks, as well as the reconstruction of 21 boiler houses. The measures being taken will significantly reduce infrastructure wear and tear,” the akimat notes.

As summarized in the information, by the end of 2024-2025, the wear and tear of heating networks will decrease by 3.8%, reaching 54.1%, while the wear of electricity networks will decline by 1.7%, reaching a level of 63.3%.
