As noted by Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Aliya Moldabekova, an increase is expected due to the growth of the fund's investment income.
According to the financial institution's data, the management of the National Fund has brought the National Bank 5.3 billion dollars in the first ten months of this year.
“Disbursements will occur in January. Last year, we allocated about 100 dollars for each child. As previously mentioned, the years 2023 and 2024 are very positive in terms of investment income. Therefore, the moving average is increasing. The amount in January of next year will be higher,” Moldabekova said at a briefing.
However, the exact amount has not yet been specified by the National Bank. Deputy Chairman Akylzhan Baymagambetov noted that the size of the payments will depend on the number of children in January 2025.
The program stipulates that 50% of the National Fund's investment income is distributed annually among children in Kazakhstan until they reach 18 years of age. This year, citizens who turned 18 received 100.05 dollars each. At the beginning of this year, there were 6.9 million minors in the country.
