The head of our state expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for accepting the invitation to visit Kazakhstan.
"This is, without exaggeration, a very significant event in our interstate relations, which are based on a solid foundation of strategic partnership and alliance. I carefully read your article in the media of Kazakhstan today. I also published my article in Russian media. I believe that we have both detailed our approaches to developing future-oriented cooperation in harmony. In my article, I emphasized that Kazakhstan has been and remains a reliable strategic partner and ally of Russia during these very challenging times," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan and Russia have not only managed to maintain but also significantly enhance the positive dynamics of their bilateral partnership.
"The agenda of your visit is quite extensive. In the run-up to the visit, members of the governments worked together to discuss all the issues on the agenda. Today, we will adopt very important documents – 20 agreements that will undoubtedly provide a powerful impetus for the further development of our good-neighborliness and cooperation," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
In turn, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, expressed his gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome on Kazakh soil.
"Thank you very much. We are friends and maintain business relations, and everything is developing in the most dynamic way. We are in constant contact. I very much hope to see you at the end of the year at the informal pre-New Year meeting in St. Petersburg within the framework of the CIS. And, of course, I look forward to seeing you at the anniversary celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is our common Victory," Vladimir Putin
He highly appreciated the dynamic development of bilateral relations and briefly touched upon the agenda of his state visit to Kazakhstan.
"Indeed, a number of documents have been prepared for today's negotiations. These include a Joint Statement and a whole package covering various areas of our activities. Russia remains one of the largest trade and economic partners of Kazakhstan. Trade turnover is growing, reaching nearly $28.5 billion last year. Accumulated investments in the Kazakh economy have reached $13 billion. Of course, we highly value the development of humanitarian ties in the fields of civil society, education, science, and culture. It is worth noting that the largest number of foreign students studying here are from Kazakhstan. Interregional cooperation is also developing very successfully. Today, another event is taking place in Ufa. I want to thank you for the attention you pay to the development of Russian-Kazakh relations. We feel the attention of the President of Kazakhstan to this crucial work. We view Kazakhstan as our reliable friend and closest ally," President of Russia
During the negotiations, the heads of state discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in areas such as industrial cooperation, energy, oil and gas industry, energy resource transit, machine engineering, transport and logistics, finance, ecology and water policy, education, science, and cultural and humanitarian ties.
