In the Almaty region, dozens of illegally constructed buildings will be demolished.

The press service of the Almaty region akimat reported that out of 78 administrative materials compiled, 28 have been forwarded to regional courts. Offenders, against whom no criminal cases have been initiated, have been fined a total of 14.6 million tenge.

The akimat also noted that during inspections, 23 illegal construction sites were identified. Materials related to these cases have also been sent to court for appropriate action. The illegal constructions, including a multi-apartment complex in the Talgar district, are subject to demolition. Four unauthorized structures have already been demolished, and lawsuits for the demolition of seven more properties have been filed.

Numerous violations were detected during the construction of an educational building in the city of Konev, the sewage systems in the residential complex "Eco-Park Alatau," and dams in the Rayymbek district. Contractors and technical supervision organizations have been held accountable. A total of 61 construction companies have been implicated in violations, two of which—LLP "Sheberbuild" and LLP "Zhangartu"—have lost their licenses as per court ruling.

The acting head of the State Architectural and Construction Control of the Almaty region, Gabiden Uzenbaev, stated: "We are restoring order in the construction sector of the Almaty region. Our inspections are not just a formality, but a fight for safety and legality. Violators of construction norms will be punished to the full extent of the law. We will not stop until every construction site in the region complies with all norms and standards."
