Almaty aims to fully renovate Rayimbek Avenue.

He mentioned that there are plans to completely renovate Rayymbek Avenue.

“Next year, we intend to fully transform Rayymbek Avenue. As part of the BRT construction, in addition to a dedicated lane for public transport, the entire street will be improved, meaning we will work across its full width—from facade to facade. Yes, there will be some inconveniences for drivers during the renovation, but the work will be organized by blocks with minimal closures,” emphasized Yerbolat Dosaev.

The city mayor highlighted that the functioning dedicated lanes and the use of long buses will enhance transportation connectivity between the eastern and western parts of the metropolis.

We remind you that the project includes the creation of dedicated lanes with minimal interruptions, the installation of new bus stop complexes, and the beautification of the area along the avenue. Stops will be located on platforms and closer to intersections. At the same time, the majority of lanes for vehicle traffic will be preserved. The implementation of the project is divided into phases: from Pushkin Street to Seyfullin Avenue, then from Seyfullin Avenue to Akhremenko Street, and further to the "Barlyk" market.
