In the Mangistau region, long lines for gas continue to persist.

“An additional 1,784 tons of liquefied gas have been sent to the region from the plants in Shymkent, Atyrau, and Zhanaozen to prevent a shortage. The region receives 18,000 tons of gas each month, with 16,000 tons supplied by the Zhanaozen plant and 2,000 tons by the Atyrau plant.

The additional volume is distributed as follows: 300 tons to Zhanaozen, 828 tons to Shymkent, and 656 tons to Atyrau. This should stabilize the gas supply situation,” officials from the energy and housing and communal services department of the Mangistau region explained.

However, in Aktau, the gas shortage persists: many gas stations are closed, and drivers at the operational ones have to wait in line for about an hour.
