The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that in 2018, the suspect stole 55 million tenge from one of the banks in Almaty. The 38-year-old man carried out the theft through transaction manipulations.

At the request of the National Central Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was apprehended in Sweden and is currently in custody there, awaiting extradition to Kazakhstan.
