The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Kairat Sarzhanov, held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States, Miroslav Vahovsky. During the meeting, both parties emphasized that the first official visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Vatican in January 2024 would provide significant momentum to elevate bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.

In this context, M. Vahovsky expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side for the establishment of an embassy at the Holy See and highlighted the Vatican's interest in developing cooperation in the fields of medicine, science, and research. He also wished the Kazakh diplomat success in his future professional endeavors as he concludes his mandate.

K. Sarzhanov noted that Kazakhstan shares the global vision of the Catholic Church, which is based on the ideals of goodness, justice, solidarity, and compassion, and greatly values the comprehensive support for the work of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
