The Ministry of Energy is renewing the agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia regarding trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and petroleum products to Kazakhstan, reports Bizmedia.kz.

The Ministry of Energy has prepared an order for the signing of the Protocol on the resumption of the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia regarding trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and petroleum products to Kazakhstan, dated December 9, 2010, and the introduction of amendments to it.

The Ministry of Energy clarified that procedures for extending the Agreement are currently underway, which allows for the import of Russian petroleum products under duty-free supply conditions.

It is anticipated that the Agreement will remain in effect until January 1, 2028.

The document has been posted on the "Open NPA" website for public discussion until December 5.
