Kasymbek highlighted that the launch of the gas thermal station (GTS) "Southeast," the first phase of the GTS "Turan," and the first phase of the CHPP-3 has resulted in a surplus of heat in the city for the first time. These facilities have provided Astana with over 1100 Gcal/hour. Additionally, the akim announced that the construction of the second phase of the GTS "Turan" will be completed by the end of this year, which will generate an extra 250 Gcal/hour. The construction of the GTS "Telmana" has also begun, along with the design of the GTS "Southwest," which will have a total capacity of 970 Gcal/hour. Moreover, Kasymbek reported that the investment volume for the first nine months of this year reached 1 trillion 140 billion tenge, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Several long-delayed housing projects have been completed, and in the new academic year, 15 out of the planned 24 schools have opened, nine of which are part of the national project "Comfortable School." The akim also mentioned that two more student dormitories will be constructed before the New Year, along with a plan to plant one million trees and shrubs.
