OpenAI has introduced a new agent feature that performs multi-step analysis online for complex tasks. What used to take hours can now be resolved in just a few minutes, according to Tengri Life.
In the ChatGPT blog, a new agent called Deep Research was unveiled, which autonomously handles tasks for you. Simply give a command, and ChatGPT will conduct an in-depth search, analyze, and synthesize information from hundreds of online sources, generating a detailed report akin to that of an experienced research analyst.
Based on the upcoming version of the OpenAI model o3, specifically optimized for web browsing and data analysis, this agent employs logical reasoning to search, interpret, and analyze a vast array of texts, images, and PDF files. It can adjust its actions based on the information it receives, altering its course of action as needed.
Why was Deep Research created?
Deep Research was designed for individuals working in fields such as finance, science, politics, and engineering, who require thorough, accurate, and reliable research.
According to the developer's recommendations, the technology can also be beneficial for everyday users needing to conduct in-depth information searches, such as when selecting a car, home appliances, or furniture. Is a subscription required to use Deep Research?
OpenAI has announced that starting today, access to Deep Research will be available to ChatGPT Pro users with a limit of 100 queries per month. There are plans to expand this feature to Plus, Team, and eventually Enterprise users. The company noted that access for Plus users will be available in approximately a month, and the query limits for paid users will soon see significant increases.

The research process may take between 5 to 30 minutes as the agent deeply analyzes information online. During this time, you can attend to other tasks, and ChatGPT will notify you when the research is complete. The results will be presented as a detailed report in the chat, with images and visualizations to be added in the future for greater convenience.
