In the first nine months of 2024, the net investment income of Kazakhstanis in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund amounted to 2.09 trillion tenge. This represents an increase of 716.3 billion tenge or 52.3% compared to the same period last year, reports a correspondent from the Kapital.kz business information center, citing data from the UAPF.
Thanks to mandatory pension contributions (MPC), mandatory professional pension contributions (MPPC), and voluntary pension contributions (VPC), contributors and beneficiaries received a net investment income of 2.08 trillion tenge, which exceeds the total of these contributions, which amounted to 1.85 trillion tenge.
The net investment income from employer mandatory pension contributions (EMPC), which started being allocated only in 2024, reached 9.06 billion tenge with a contribution volume of 160.6 billion tenge.
"The yield of pension assets in the UAPF, formed through MPC, MPPC, and VPC, managed by the National Bank for the first nine months of 2024 was 11.22% against an inflation rate of 5.7% during this period. The yield of pension assets in the UAPF, formed through EMPC, as of October 1, 2024, since the beginning of the year, was 8.87%. Additionally, the yield of pension assets in the UAPF over the last 12 months as of October 1, 2024, was 12.47% with an inflation rate of 8.3%," the fund explained.
It is worth noting that the total volume of pension assets as of October 1, 2024, amounted to 21,179.1 billion tenge. Assets under the trust management of the National Bank, formed through mandatory pension contributions (MPC), mandatory professional pension contributions (MPPC), and voluntary pension contributions (VPC), totaled 20,950.2 billion tenge. The volume of pension assets formed through employer contributions (EMPC) reached 169.2 billion tenge. Pension assets managed by UIP amounted to 59.7 billion tenge.
