Some aspects of the draft law raised questions among the deputies, leading to its return to the Mazhilis for further refinement.
The senators endorsed an increase in the budget for 2025 by 60 billion tenge from the government reserve but suggested revising certain budget articles.
Main areas of expenditure:
- Water supply and wastewater management: a total of 137 billion tenge, with 110 billion allocated for 2025.
- Gas transportation system: a total of 93 billion tenge, with 66 billion allocated for 2025.
- Heat and electricity generation: a total of 82 billion tenge, with 70 billion allocated for 2025.
- Engineering infrastructure: a total of 234 billion tenge, with 168 billion allocated for 2025.
- Transport infrastructure: a total of 1.7 trillion tenge, with 1.1 trillion allocated for 2025.
“The Finance and Budget Committee recommended returning the project to the Mazhilis for the revision of certain articles,” said Senator Sultanbek Makezhanov.
