Journalists inquired why children are required to wear national costumes on certain days in some schools.
“As part of the educational initiative 'Bir-tutas tarbie', in educational organizations, based on the decision of the parent committee, I also receive reports, and I have also met (to clarify – Ed.) to understand how voluntary this is and whether it aligns with the parents' wishes, and whether there are any other intentions behind it. If the parents' involvement is indeed voluntary, then there are no prohibitions on wearing national attire. However, this must not contradict the law established by the ministry's order,” stated the head of the Ministry of Education in response.
