Zhanibek Alimkhanuly will face an undefeated opponent in his title fight in Astana.

It appears that the next opponent for Janibek Alimkhanuly (16-0, 11 KOs) will be the French boxer of Congolese descent Anauel Ngamissenge (14-0, 9 KOs), as reported by Sports.kz citing the Telegram channel "Sport of Schrodinger."

The fight is scheduled for April 5 in Astana at the "Barys Arena." The broadcast of the match will be available on the ESPN+ platform.

For the 31-year-old Alimkhanuly, this bout will mark his fifth defense of the WBO title, his second IBF title defense, and his first appearance in his homeland since 2017. In his last fight, which took place in October 2024, he won by technical knockout in the ninth round against New Zealander Andrei Mikhailovich.

Anauel Ngamissenge, a 29-year-old boxer, will be competing for a world championship title for the first time in his career and will take part in his first 12-round fight. Despite his place in the top 10 of the ESPN middleweight rankings, he has not yet had experience fighting at the highest level. In June 2024, Ngamissenge achieved a technical knockout victory in the third round against Sandro Jajanishvili (12-32-2).
