According to preliminary data, 25 people survived the plane crash near Aktau, with 22 of them being transported to the hospital. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, as reported by a correspondent from the Kapital.kz business information center.

Details regarding the injured are being clarified. The lists of passengers are also being updated.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were 67 people on board the aircraft, including 5 crew members.

As per preliminary information from the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, there were 37 citizens of Azerbaijan, six from Kazakhstan, three from Kyrgyzstan, and 16 from Russia on board.

It is important to note that a plane has crashed near Aktau. The Kazakhstan Civil Aviation Committee reported that a scheduled flight from Baku to Grozny went down. The aircraft belongs to Azerbaijan Airlines.

By 12:28, the fire was completely extinguished by emergency services. Medical personnel and psychologists are currently on site. A total of 150 personnel and 45 units of equipment from the Department of Emergency Situations, NGPS, and the police are involved.

Nurdaulet Kilybay, the akim of the Mangistau region, is also present at the crash site.

“The regional head has been briefed on the details of the incident and the progress of the rescue operations. The akim has also issued relevant instructions to the competent authorities and emphasized that all measures taken will be under his personal control,” the statement reads.
