The Ministry of Internal Affairs has established a Department for Combating Cybercrime, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, referencing the agency's website Polisia.kz.
This initiative is aimed at protecting citizens' interests from the increasing threats in the realm of cybercrime prevention. The department will focus on identifying and solving cybercrimes, as well as developing strategic measures to combat them.
“In light of the rapid advancement of technology and the growing number of internet threats, the creation of a specialized unit will enable a more effective response to modern challenges,” emphasized Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduced Colonel of Police Zhandos Suinbay, who has significant experience in this field, to the personnel as the head of the new department.
