Nine Russians injured in the plane crash have been transported to Moscow by a flight from the disaster medicine center in Russia, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Mangistau region akimat.

"Yesterday, a flight from the disaster medicine center in Russia arrived in Aktau to assist those injured in the plane crash. Today, they have returned to Moscow with nine compatriots who sustained injuries of varying severity," the statement said.

The Russian delegation was seen off by representatives of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, elders, and youth, led by Aktau akim Abilkair Baipakov.

"All injured individuals are receiving necessary medical care in the city’s hospitals. A government commission is also operating in Aktau, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev. Mangistau region akim Nurdaulat Kilybay noted that the families of the deceased and injured are receiving necessary state support," the akimat explained.

Recall that on Wednesday, December 25, a plane en route from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aktau. The aircraft belongs to Azerbaijan Airlines. A total of 29 people survived the crash.

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, there were 37 citizens of Azerbaijan, six from Kazakhstan, three from Kyrgyzstan, and 16 from Russia on board. In total, there were 67 people, including 5 crew members.

As reported by the Kazakh Ministry of Transport, a Commission has been established to investigate the aviation incident.

A delegation from the State Agency of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Azerbaijan has arrived in Kazakhstan, along with representatives from Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). Work at the site is being conducted in close cooperation with the aviation authorities of Azerbaijan.

Representatives from the aircraft manufacturer Embraer and CENIPA - the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents from Brazil have also flown to Kazakhstan.

It is noted that the government commission, led by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev, includes the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Marat Karabaev, Deputy Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev, Director of the Department for Investigation of Transport Incidents Nurzhan Malaev, Chairperson of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompieva, and General Director of RGP "KazAeroNavigation" Nurzhan Akhmetov.
