As is well known, the "Damu" fund develops several support tools for small and medium-sized businesses. These include subsidies, guarantees, and preferential financing.
"This year, we have provided 239 guarantees, with the total amount of loans reaching nearly 8 billion tenge. This means we have guaranteed almost 50% of the loan amounts. The funds allocated for subsidies are ultimately returned to the state in the form of taxes. Currently, for every 1 tenge paid in subsidies, it generates 7 tenge in taxes. Thus, these funds are fully returned to the state," noted Gulnara Almu-khanova, the director of the regional branch of the "Damu" entrepreneurship development fund.
One third of the subsidies granted by the fund is directed towards the manufacturing industry.
The company "Kaz Prycep" in Kokshetau has been engaged in manufacturing passenger trailers for 4 years. As part of the National Project for Entrepreneurship Development, the company received support from the fund to expand production by acquiring expensive equipment – a laser machine for metal processing.
"Seeing that customers were inquiring about the availability of trailers, we primarily imported them from Russia. We started with passenger trailers, as they are more mass-market and in demand. We achieved certain results, gaining experience and understanding of how to organize this. Additionally, 'Damu' provided us with financing. All these factors came together, and we opened this workshop for the production of cargo trailers," said Ramis Yuzlikayev, the director of 'Kaz Prycep.'
The health and wellness complex "Zeren-Nur" received funding under the "Business Roadmap." The preferential funds are directed towards the construction and equipping of a new building, which was ceremonially opened on Tourism Day.
According to Talas Nurpeis, the director of the wellness complex, a new medical building has already been constructed. The first floor houses a restaurant, the second floor contains the medical facility, while the third and fourth floors feature residential rooms.
The Akmolinskaya region administration noted that the "Damu" fund is making a significant economic impact in supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Entrepreneurs in the region who have received state support have created nearly 10,000 new jobs.
