The State Counselor emphasized the uniqueness of the new educational program being implemented in schools.

During a working meeting with members of the National Kurultai held in Astana, Education Minister Gani Beisembaev and Child Rights Commissioner Dinara Zakiyeva presented the preliminary results of the unified education program "Birtutas Tarbie," which has been implemented in all schools across the country since September 1 of this year.

The State Advisor shared that a new program has been developed based on both international and domestic experiences by the Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Education, with the involvement of experienced specialists, educators, and psychologists.

Erlan Karin emphasized the uniqueness of the new approaches to educational work among the younger generation.

"For the first time, the educational process in all schools has been organized based on a unified program that relies on a list of national values formulated at the Third National Kurultai. These include 'Independence and Patriotism,' 'Unity and Solidarity,' 'Justice and Responsibility,' 'Law and Order,' 'Diligence and Professionalism,' 'Creation and Innovation,' " he stated.

A key distinction of the new program is the implementation of a holistic and competency-based approach to education—from preschool age to senior classes—taking into account the connection between schools, parents, and the community, and reinforcing value orientations through practical activities.

The State Advisor noted that the updated program optimizes the number of extracurricular activities.

"Previously, an average of up to 240 extracurricular activities were held during the academic year, but under the new program, this number has been reduced to 55. This significantly lightens the workload of deputy principals responsible for educational work and class supervisors, which in turn enhances the effectiveness of the educational process in schools. The focus is now on the content and quality of the educational work conducted rather than its quantity. We will also analyze the implementation process and effectiveness of these new approaches, making necessary adjustments to the unified educational work program in schools as needed," said the State Advisor.
