A deputy comments on freight transport, stating that one can transport weapons, drugs, and even corpses using hitchhiking services.

Pavel Kazantsev pointed out that currently, platform-based transportation of goods and luggage is virtually unregulated and uncontrolled.

"With just one call on any suitable ride-hailing platform, we can send a wide variety of items. This includes documents, a bouquet of flowers, a batch of goods, or a gift. It's very convenient, everyone knows this, and people say 'thank you' to the government.

But everyone also knows that with the same call on the same ride-hailing platform, one can transport weapons, drugs, and potent toxic substances. I can authoritatively state that even bodies can be transported this way. The criminals also say 'thank you' to the government," - he noted.

The head of the Ministry of Transport, Marat Karabaev, agreed with the deputy.

"Currently, the draft law on 'Postal Services' is under consideration in the Mazhilis. Within this project, a provision regarding so-called 'unaccompanied cargo' is being introduced. One of the requirements for these unaccompanied cargos is that the person receiving the cargo must have technical equipment to determine its contents without opening it. That is, the carrier will use what is called a rapiscan," - the minister assured.

Today, during the government hour in the Mazhilis, the topic of road quality in the country was also discussed. Deputy Nurtai Sabilyanov proposed to reconsider the criteria for assessing the quality of roads in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, the Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan spoke during the government hour in the Mazhilis about providing internet connectivity on roads and trains. According to him, by 2025, the 'white spots' on republican roads will be eliminated.

Deputy Sergey Ponomarev criticized the work of the Ministry of Transport, stating that there are serious shortcomings in this sector.
