The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, extended his condolences to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in connection with the numerous casualties resulting from the tragic incident at the train station in the city of Novi Sad, as reported on the Akorda Telegram channel.
"In this difficult time, sharing the sorrow of the irreparable loss with the friendly people of Serbia, on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf, I express my heartfelt condolences to you and the families of the deceased. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured," - the telegram states.
As reported by the Russian service of the BBC, yesterday a concrete canopy collapsed at the train station in Novi Sad, Serbia's second most populous city. Thirteen people died, and the death toll may rise.
