The Minister of Finance announced that bonuses for public servants have been banned in Kazakhstan.

In the halls of the Mazhilis today, Finance Minister Madi Takiyev announced that government agencies that have saved budget funds are no longer permitted to reallocate this money for bonuses, as reported by a correspondent from NUR.KZ.
The Minister of Finance announced that bonuses for public servants have been banned in Kazakhstan.

"I've wanted to say this for a long time. We have prohibited the Ministry of Finance, represented by the treasury, from transferring funds within accounts for bonuses. If government agencies have savings, they cannot transfer this money to bonuses. These funds will return to the budget," - stated the head of the Ministry of Finance.

He added that the possibility of transferring bonuses is literally closed.

Journalists inquired whether it would be possible to reward civil servants in general from "internal sources" of the agencies.

"There will be no bonuses. We have closed the 112th code, which allowed directing money to bonuses and from where they were received," - reported Madi Takiyev.

Recall that in February, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that civil servants working 12-hour shifts should be rewarded.

Meanwhile, in August, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population discussed how many bonuses are annually due to Kazakhs.

Additionally, in April, we reported on a case in the Akmolinsk region, where employees of a government institution were illegally paid monthly bonuses of one million tenge. Around the same time, another similar case was discovered in Almaty - large rewards were being issued to the heads of medical organizations.

The head of the Ministry of Finance, Madi Takiyev, reported on the costs incurred by Kazakhstanis for maintaining officials. He noted that the budget supports not only the state apparatus but also law enforcement personnel and military servicemen.
