Today, a Bureau meeting was held under the chairmanship of Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev. The deputies established the agenda for the upcoming session of the Chamber scheduled for November 7 and discussed preparations for the deputies' field meetings in the regions, as reported by DKnews.kz.
New law on judicial system reform: objectives and goals.

At the upcoming meeting of the Chamber on Thursday, a law initiated by the deputies will be discussed: “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan Regarding the Reform of the Judicial System and Improvement of Procedural Legislation ”. The aim of the document is to enhance the judicial system by developing appropriate legislative mechanisms aimed at strengthening legal guarantees for the right to judicial protection and improving the quality of justice delivery, the professionalism of the judiciary, and their accountability.

Additionally, the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ On Amendments and Additions to Certain Constitutional Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan ”, adopted in June of this year, provides for the establishment of independent cassation courts and their authority to review judicial acts. In this regard, the law introduces amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code, the Civil Procedure Code, the Administrative Procedure Code, as well as several other laws.

According to the Chamber's Action Plan, senators will hold a series of meetings this week, including off-site sessions on issues of preventing offenses and ensuring public safety in the Akmolinsk region, as well as regarding the development of the aerospace industry in the Kyzylorda region.

Committee meetings of the Senate are also scheduled, focusing on the implementation of the constitutional law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ On the Prosecutor’s Office ”, a visit to the Arshaly district of the Akmolinsk region in preparation for Parliamentary hearings on the topic “The Working Person – the Foundation of National Economic Growth and National Prosperity,” and also a meeting with the leadership of state bodies regarding the processing of agricultural products in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, during the Bureau meeting, the deputies allocated the laws previously adopted by the Mazhilis of Parliament.
