A meeting took place in the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Satybaldy Burshakov, and the deputies of the Friendship Group for cooperation with Central Asian countries.
Macedonian parliamentarians congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on their National Holiday – Republic Day, wishing our country prosperity, peace, and harmony, as well as further progress and flourishing. The deputies, welcoming the recent opening of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Skopje, expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive support in expanding inter-parliamentary ties, as well as trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two nations.
In his speech, S. Burshakov shared with the parliamentarians the role and priorities of Kazakh diplomacy in the current geopolitical climate, the integration processes in the Central Asian region, and the prospects for bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and North Macedonia.
Discussing the reforms initiated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the diplomat emphasized that the development of parliamentarism occupies a central place within the framework of political modernization in our country, and he elaborated on the activities of the Senate and the Mazhilis, as well as the political parties represented in the parliament.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize mutual visits of parliamentarians in 2025 as part of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and North Macedonia.
