Elections for the Maslikhat deputies in the sixth district have begun in the capital.

On December 8, elections commenced for deputies of the Astana city maslikhat, filling the vacancy in the single-member electoral district No. 6, according to the official website of the capital's akimat, citing the city’s electoral commission.

Since 7 AM, there are 19 polling stations operating in Astana, including three that are closed, as reported by DKnews.kz.

Members of the maslikhats are elected for a term of five years. The ballot includes six candidates. In the city of Astana, elections are taking place in one electoral district, № 6, located in the "Baikonyr" area.

The polling stations will remain open until 8:00 PM.

Previously, personalized invitations were distributed to each resident of the district. Additionally, from November 17 to 27, members of the precinct commission conducted a door-to-door outreach to familiarize themselves with the list of voters.
