A new platform, minerals.e-qazyna.kz, has been launched for subsoil users.

From October 23 to November 1, 2024, the portal minerals.gov.kz will be temporarily unavailable due to the transition to the new platform EPN minerals.e-qazyna.kz. To operate on the new platform, subsoil users must undergo re-registration using an electronic digital signature (EDS), reports the correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Construction.

"E-qazyna.kz marks a new phase in the digitalization of geological and mining processes, which will make the mechanism for working with government data and services transparent and user-friendly," the agency noted.

The new platform will offer registration for the pledge agreement of subsoil use rights for exploration, extraction, or combined exploration and extraction of underground waters, therapeutic muds, and solid minerals; pledge agreements for the exploration and extraction of commonly found minerals; agreements for the processing of solid minerals; additional agreements for changes to the subsoil use contract; and applications for the transformation of subsoil areas.

Services will include the issuance of permits for the use of the liquidation fund; permits for the extraction of rock mass and/or movement of soil at the exploration site exceeding one thousand cubic meters; permits for the transfer of subsoil use rights (shares in subsoil use rights) arising from subsoil use contracts; licenses for the exploration or extraction of solid minerals, as well as the transfer of objects related to subsoil use rights; licenses for the exploration and extraction of solid minerals, extraction of commonly found minerals, prospecting, and licenses under the transition to a licensing regime for subsoil use.
