Astana Hub has announced the launch of a new cohort of the Tech Orda program aimed at training citizens of Kazakhstan in IT professions. This year, a record number of applications were received from Kazakhstanis—35,764, reports a correspondent from the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the technopark's press service.

In 2024, 3,465 grants have been allocated. Of these, 2,465 are designated for the main stream, while 1,000 are for educators within specialized streams: 300 grants are provided for the professional development of school teachers, and 700 for university instructors.

This year, 79 Kazakhstani IT schools and one IT company have been accredited to train specialists under the Tech Orda program, offering 178 courses in relevant fields: web development, 3D design, AR/VR applications, operating systems development, cybersecurity, IoT, artificial intelligence, mobile app creation, Big Data, and GameDev.

Under the Tech Orda program in 2022 and 2023, 91 schools trained 6,251 students.

It is worth noting that in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, the head of state emphasized the importance of preparing young, educated, and motivated personnel, tasking the training of at least 100,000 IT specialists. The Tech Orda program was piloted at Astana Hub in 2021, aiming to train 20,000 IT professionals. Annually, the program plans to train over 3,000 specialists with government support, allocating up to 600,000 tenge for each student.
