Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov spoke about the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. During an extended government meeting, he reported that artificial intelligence is already being utilized in decision-making based on big data in the areas of social protection, ecology, emergency situations, and industry.

“This year, we will fully launch a virtual assistant for providing government services, which will explain to citizens in clear language how to act in specific situations and suggest suitable services,” said Olzhas Bektenov.

He also mentioned that the first proprietary language model of artificial intelligence, “KazLLM,” has been developed.

According to the head of the government, under the “AI-Sana” program, this year 100,000 students will be trained in practical skills for implementing AI across various sectors of the economy.

Training for specialists in artificial intelligence has begun at 20 universities, and a separate quota has been introduced under the “Bolashak” program.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the development of artificial intelligence must be accelerated and its elements integrated into the e-government system. Special attention should be paid to the widespread use of this technology in “Smart City” projects. The government is tasked with building a comprehensive system for digitization and the application of AI, as directed by the head of state.
