The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry has announced the launch of a pilot acceleration program called "Industrial AI Accelerator 2024–2025," as reported by a correspondent from the business information center Kapital.kz, referencing the agency's press service.
The aim of the accelerator is to initiate and implement pilot projects, create a national catalog of AI solutions, and transform industries using advanced technologies. Within the framework of the program, the ministry plans to launch 25 pilot projects: five by the end of 2024 and 20 by February 2025.
The application period for participation in the program will last until December 7, with participant selection until December 10, and the acceleration period from December 10 to December 20, 2024.
"We invite startups and companies ready to transform Kazakhstan's economy through artificial intelligence to join the program. This is a unique opportunity for innovative developers to showcase their solutions, launch pilot projects, and contribute to the development of AI in the country. Participants will gain access to real tasks from client companies, training from international experts, assistance in packaging pilots, and the chance to scale projects within Kazakhstan and beyond," the message states.
The program is aimed at implementing and scaling AI solutions in key sectors of Kazakhstan's economy: healthcare, energy, oil and gas, mining, construction, and finance.
Benefits for participants include the launch of pilot projects, support from international experts and trackers, the opportunity to present their solutions on DEMO DAY to corporate and government clients, and the scaling of successful solutions.
Who can participate: companies registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan; foreign companies willing to register in Kazakhstan upon successful pilot launch.
Requirements for participants: solutions at the MVP stage (a working prototype that addresses a specific problem); a team of at least two specialists ready to work on real cases within the program.
