The SKO Hub has officially opened in Petropavlovsk. This marks the eighteenth regional IT hub in Kazakhstan. It is designed to create a space where startups can find the necessary support for growth, while young talents can acquire knowledge and skills for a successful career in IT, reports a correspondent from the business information center Kapital.kz, referencing the press service of Astana Hub.
“SKO Hub is a new step in the development of the IT ecosystem in our region. We expect it to become a center of attraction for youth and individuals interested in advancing the IT infrastructure. After all, they hold the real potential for further transformation,” noted Ruslan Alishev, the head of the Akim's office in North Kazakhstan region.
As part of the hub's activities, incubation programs, educational courses, seminars, and events such as meetups, workshops, forums, hackathons, and other gatherings will be organized to facilitate knowledge and experience exchange among participants in the technological ecosystem.
“The opening of SKO Hub is part of a strategy to create a sustainable technological infrastructure in Kazakhstan. In 2024, Astana Hub will launch its eighteenth hub, which will be an important step towards establishing a unified network of support centers for innovative projects across the country,” added Aida Dusova, director of the regional development office at Astana Hub.
SKO Hub is located at: 195 Zh. Zhabayev Street. It has been established with the support of Astana Hub, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, and the Akimat of North Kazakhstan region, and will play a crucial role in strengthening the technological ecosystem of the region.
