Over the course of nine months, the volume of telecommunications services in Kazakhstan has risen by 11.8%, as reported by the Telegram channel of the Economic Research Institute Economy.kz.
According to analysts, from January to September 2024, the volume of telecommunications services in Kazakhstan reached 1.004 trillion tenge, which is an 11.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
The most significant growth was observed in internet services, with a physical volume index of 117.1%, indicating a strong demand for high-speed internet and the expansion of digital infrastructure, the Economic Research Institute noted.
Telecommunications services, according to their data, grew by 2.7%, while mobile services decreased to 86.9%, reflecting market saturation and a shift towards fixed internet services.
Almaty and Astana continue to lead in service volume, accounting for 81% of the total across the republic, confirming the concentration of telecommunications activity in major cities, the analysts concluded.
