The American Boxing Writers Association (BWAA) has announced the winners of its 2024 awards, as reported by Sports.kz.
The title of Best Boxer of the previous year was awarded to Ukrainian heavyweight and unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk. It is worth noting that in 2024, Alexander fought twice against Tyson Fury and secured victories by judges' decisions.
Additionally, the May bout between Usyk and Fury was recognized as the "Fight of the Year" by BWAA.
American coach Robert Garcia was named "Trainer of the Year," while Usyk's manager, Egis Klimas, received the title of "Manager of the Year."
